Teton commissioners to broaden signing authority for $800k Westview condo closing

Teton County commissioners meet April 20 to consider a resolution letting any commissioner sign closing documents for the county’s $800,000 purchase of #403 Westview (1257 W. Hwy. 22), with closing scheduled for April 27.

Teton County’s Board of County Commissioners is scheduled to consider a resolution on April 20 that would authorize any of the five commissioners — not just the chair — to sign closing documents for the county’s purchase of #403 Westview at 1257 W. Hwy. 22 in Jackson.

According to the county attorney’s office staff report, the county has entered into a buy/sell agreement with seller Jeffrey M. Zipfel for a purchase price of $800,000, with closing set for April 27. The resolution is framed as a contingency in case the chair is unavailable on the closing date, while still requiring the county clerk to attest the signature(s). The staff report lists the fiscal impact as $800,000 and notes the voucher is included in the day’s voucher run. If approved, the resolution would name all five commissioners as authorized signatories for documents needed to complete the transaction.
