Jackson council to take up first reading of water/sewer rate increases April 20

The Jackson Town Council is scheduled to consider Ordinance B — a first-reading ordinance amending the town’s water and sewer rates — at its April 20 regular meeting.

According to the meeting packet, the proposal would raise water base and volume rates by 25% and sewer rates by 10%. The ordinance also includes increases to related utility charges, including a 5.2% capacity-fee increase, increases tied to the 3‑Creek capital replacement program, and a 10% increase to the town’s septic dump fee.

Council’s April 20 action is listed as a first reading, meaning the ordinance would need additional readings before final adoption.
