Teton County to approve abatement order in MacKay Investments case April 13

On April 13, county commissioners are scheduled to consider approving a stipulated order to abate in the Planning Director’s enforcement case against MacKay Investments LLC for a property at 2836 Wiley Lane.

Teton County commissioners are scheduled to consider approving a stipulated “Order to Abate” in an enforcement case captioned Teton County Planning Director v. MacKay Investments LLC at their April 13 voucher meeting. The agenda item frames it as an agreement resolving (or narrowing) the county’s abatement proceeding against the company. (Board of County Commissioners Meeting Agenda)

The underlying abatement matter is identified in prior county records as Abatement Proceeding Docket No. 2025-002 involving a MacKay Investments property at 2836 Wiley Lane. In October 2025, the board appointed retired attorney Timothy Day as hearing officer for the case, authorizing him to run pre-hearing proceedings and issue a recommended decision to commissioners. The stipulated order itself (including the specific violations found, required abatement steps, deadlines, and what enforcement tools the county could use if deadlines are missed) was linked from the agenda but was not available in the county document database at publication time. Residents who want to comment on the item can do so during the April 13 meeting (Zoom instructions are on the agenda) or by emailing commissioners@tetoncountywy.gov.
