Town, county appoint Sidney Roubin to Travel & Tourism board through 2029

At a March 17 joint meeting, Jackson and Teton County voted to appoint Sidney Roubin to the Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Joint Powers Board for the remainder of a term ending June 30, 2026, then a full term through June 30, 2029.

Jackson Town Council and the Teton County Board of County Commissioners voted March 17 to appoint Sidney Roubin to the Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Joint Powers Board (JHTTJPB), first to fill the remainder of a term ending June 30, 2026, and then to a full three-year term expiring June 30, 2029. Both the town and county votes were unanimous, according to the Joint Meeting Minutes.

The appointment came after the two bodies conducted applicant interviews in open session and then recessed to an executive session under state law to consider volunteer-board appointments. The minutes list nine applicants interviewed for the Travel & Tourism seat: Pam Gumport, Adamo Vullo, Bob Frodeman, Joshua Preston, John Beye, Lee Bauknight, Bryan Dunn, Sidney Roubin and Malyna Si. The JHTTJPB’s executive director, Crista Valentino, participated in the interview portion, the minutes say.

The Travel & Tourism board oversees lodging-tax-funded destination marketing and related programs (including “signature event” grants) and provides governance for Visit Jackson Hole’s work. Recent board minutes reflect its role in allocating lodging-tax dollars among tourism marketing contracts and community events, as well as the board’s ongoing governance updates.
