JH Travel & Tourism board to vote $850K FY27 ‘signature events’ slate April 9

The Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board meets April 9 to vote on an $850,000 slate of FY2027 “signature event” awards, including $572,500 for Rendezvous Music Festival and $125,000 for the Jackson Hole International Film Festival.

The Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board is scheduled to vote Thursday, April 9 on FY2027 “signature event” grant awards totaling $850,000. The staff recommendation lists seven events requesting $1,935,800 in total, with awards proposed for four returning events and no awards for three new applicants. Among the largest proposed grants is $572,500 for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s 2027 Rendezvous Music Festival (a $625,000 request), scheduled for April 3, 2027 in Teton Village. The recommendation would also award $125,000 to the Jackson Hole International Film Festival (a $200,000 request), planned for Dec. 10–13, 2026 at the National Museum of Wildlife Art. Public comments included multiple letters urging the board to “fully fund” Rendezvous, framing it as a shoulder-season driver for occupancy and visitor spending.
