Lodging tax board to review Jackson Hole Air Credit program April 9

The Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board meets April 9 and will hear a partner report on the JHRR “Air Credit” airfare rebate program, after the March update was postponed. The program is designed to spur off-peak winter travel through packaged bookings.

The Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board (the lodging tax board) meets Thursday, April 9, and is scheduled to hear a partner report on the JHRR Air Credit Update. The update—presented by Shannon Schiner—is listed under partner reports on the board’s agenda. (Lodging Tax Board Meeting Agenda)

Board minutes from the previous meeting note that the Air Credit presentation was moved to the April meeting, making April 9 the next public update point for how much of the current season’s funds have been used and what balance remains. (Board Meeting Minutes)

For background, a prior funding application describes the “Air Credit Buy-Down Program” as an incentive aimed at driving winter bookings during off-peak periods by offering airfare credit tied to travel packages that include lodging and at least one activity. It also outlines the program’s joint marketing/administration with Jackson Hole Resort Reservations (JHRR) and partners. (Funding Application for Air Credit Buy-Down Program)
