Travel & Tourism board OKs $180K slate for fall 2026 ‘regular events’

The Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Joint Powers Board voted 6-0 to approve staff’s “Fall ’26 Regular Event Funding” recommendation at a March 16 special meeting, with no public comment or discussion recorded in the minutes. The largest single awards in the approved slate included $35,000 for Teton Powder Roundup (Oct. 23, 2026), $25,000 for Teton Village Oktoberfest (Sept. 26–27, 2026), and $17,000 for the Jackson Hole Farm to Fork Festival (Oct. 3–4, 2026). Multiple events were funded at $10,000, including the Jackson Hole Writers Conference (Oct. 21–25, 2026), the Wyoming Snow and Avalanche Workshop (Nov. 13–14, 2026), and the Wyoming County Commissioners Association winter meeting (Dec. 9–11, 2026). The same financial report shows at least one event struck through (Snow King Mountain Oktoberfest, requested at $5,000), signaling it was not included in the funded fall 2026 “regular events” list as presented. The total of all regular-event requests shown in the report is $382,531, meaning the approved $180,000 package funded less than half of the dollars requested.
