Teton Board of Health punts FY27 fee-schedule comment and final vote to May 19

On March 17, the Teton District Board of Health used a “point of order” to defer public comment and a second (final) vote on the Health Department’s FY2027 fee schedule until its May 19 meeting.

The Teton District Board of Health’s March 17 agenda included a procedural “point of order” to defer both public comment and a second vote on the Teton County Health Department’s FY2027 fee schedule to the board’s next regular meeting on May 19, according to the meeting agenda packet. (Board of Health Meeting Agenda)

The fee schedule had previously been introduced at the board’s Jan. 20 meeting, when members were slated to vote to publish the proposed FY2027 fees for a 45-day public comment period. (Teton District Board of Health Agenda)

The March 17 agenda did not include the proposed fee schedule itself or a staff memo explaining what revisions, if any, were made after the initial publication vote. As a result, the May 19 meeting is now the next scheduled opportunity for the public to weigh in and for the board to take up final approval action on the FY2027 fees.
