Teton Board of Health tees up 2026 revision to county Food Rule

At its March 17 meeting, the Teton District Board of Health scheduled consideration of a “Teton County Food Rule, 2026 revision,” signaling potential updates to local food-service requirements; the agenda packet did not include the draft rule text.

The Teton District Board of Health’s March 17 agenda included an item to consider a “Teton County Food Rule, 2026 revision,” an update that could affect how restaurants, temporary food vendors and other regulated food operations are permitted, inspected and enforced in Teton County. The agenda lists the topic under New Business but does not include the proposed revisions in the posted agenda document. Board of Health Meeting Agenda (2026-03-17).

Because the packet posted with the agenda does not contain the draft rule, redlined changes, staff memo, or background materials, it is not yet possible from the public document to identify what sections are being revised or what prompted the update. The absence of attachments means the public cannot readily compare existing requirements to the proposed 2026 revision based on the agenda alone. Board of Health Meeting Agenda (2026-03-17).

The same agenda also noted the board would consider deferring public comment and a second vote on the FY2027 fee schedule to the board’s May 19 meeting, and listed May 19 as the next regular meeting date. Board of Health Meeting Agenda (2026-03-17).
