Jackson council to consider $85,573 IT network contract with 954 Consultants

On March 16, the Jackson Town Council is set to approve a four-year, $85,573 contract with 954 Consultants for a software-defined WAN upgrade using Peplink networking products and support services.

The Jackson Town Council on March 16 is scheduled to vote on a contract with 954 Consultants, LLC on the consent calendar.

According to the staff report, the $85,573.15 agreement (net-30 payment terms) would cover procurement of Peplink networking products and related services to help create and configure a software-defined wide area network (SD‑WAN) for the town’s data network. The goal is to enable more resilient, dynamic primary and failover internet connectivity for the town’s internal network, with the vendor supplying hardware, software licenses and technical support for installation, configuration and ongoing operation of devices including routers, access points and network management tools.

The proposed term is four years, and the cost is budgeted under the town’s Information Technology department in the “IT Services Contracts” line item, the report says. See: Town Council Regular Meeting Agenda Packet.
